About the Role
We are looking for an energetic, driven Buyer to join our Clevedon team. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you'll be at the heart of our supply chain, keeping materials flowing, suppliers aligned and operations running smoothly. This fast‑paced, hands‑on role allows you to shape purchasing decisions, build strong supplier relationships and deliver procurement excellence across the UK business.
About You
* A qualification in supply chain, business, engineering or a similar field
* Progress toward CIPS (or a desire to start)
* Experience in purchasing or a technical/supply‑chain admin role
* A strong understanding of basic procurement principles
* Sharpenly organised with great attention to detail
* A commercial mindset – always asking "Is this the best option?
* Confidence analysing pricing, quotes and supplier proposals
* Clear communication skills and a collaborative style
* Ability to juggle multiple priorities without breaking a sweat
* Good Microsoft Office and ERP system skills
* A genuine appetite to learn, grow and advance your career
What You’ll Be Doing
* Raising and managing purchase orders with accuracy and urgency
* Evaluating supplier quotes and supporting sourcing decisions
* Supporting negotiations and supplier selection activities
* Keeping a close eye on open orders and resolving delivery issues
* Spotting opportunities to reduce costs and improve processes
* Maintaining accurate procurement data and supplier details
* Supporting reporting on costs, delivery, quality and lead times
* Helping with supplier performance reviews and improvements
* Carrying out supplier risk checks and escalating concerns early
