Role Overview
The role involves working in the assembly and fabrication of large X-ray equipment with detailed component assembly, carried out in a semi-cleanroom environment. The production room cleaner will be responsible for the daily cleaning operations in the chemistry lab, clean room, assembly area, and shop floor.
Responsibilities
1. Thorough cleaning of the clean room according to clean room protocols. Regular cleaning of other production areas as assigned by the duty manager.
2. Cleaning, stocking, and supplying designated facility areas, including dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and cleaning ceiling vents and equipment.
3. Maintaining a controlled environment to avoid particulate contamination and ensure high cleanliness standards.
4. Supporting detailed component cleaning, leak checking of parts, and general assembly support such as component cleaning and preparation.
5. Assisting with the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the chemistry lab.
Key Skills
1. Discipline to maintain best working practices within the chemistry lab.
2. Operate in accordance with health and safety practices, wearing PPE and handling chemicals safely.
3. Monitoring inventory levels and ordering supplies as needed, possibly recommending changes based on usage data.
Qualifications
1. Experience as a cleaner in a clean room, chemistry lab, assembly, manufacturing, or factory environment is preferable.
2. Experience with component assembly processes is advantageous.
3. Ability to work well within a team, supporting colleagues.
4. Experience handling chemicals, lower-level testing, and assembly.
5. Proven experience as a cleaner.
