At Phrec, we specialise exclusively in pharmaceutical and healthcare appointments across the UK and Ireland. We are currently supporting the appointment of a senior Regional Quality Assurance Pharmacist to provide authoritative GMP leadership across aseptic compounding services and cleanroom programmes.
This is a rare strategic-level opportunity for a highly experienced aseptic GMP specialist who operates with regulatory authority and senior stakeholder credibility.
The Role
Reporting to the Vice-President (Compounding Services), you will operate at regional/system level and act as the recognised subject matter authority for aseptic GMP compliance.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide regional QA leadership for aseptic compounding and cleanroom services
* Act as SME for PIC/S GMP, EU GMP Annex 1, USP and USP
* Lead review and approval of User Requirement Specifications (URS)
* Provide expert input into cleanroom design (zoning, HVAC, pressure cascades, workflow)
* Oversee validation strategy (DQ, IQ, OQ, PQ) and Validation Master Plans
* Lead and support MHRA inspection readiness and regulatory engagement
* Provide oversight of environmental monitoring and contamination control strategy
* Review and approve change controls, deviations and CAPAs
* Act as GMP interface between Pharmacy, Estates, Engineering and contractors
* Mentor senior pharmacy and QA leaders in aseptic governance
About You
You will bring significant professional credibility and regulatory judgement, including:
* MPharm / BPharm (PharmD desirable)
* Registered Pharmacist eligible to practise in the UK
* 10+ years’ experience within aseptic compounding facilities
* Senior-level QA / governance leadership experience
* Strong knowledge of PIC/S GMP & EU GMP Annex 1
* Experience in cleanroom build, refurbishment or validation
* Experience supporting or leading regulatory inspections (MHRA desirable)
