Salary: £37,868 – £56,154 per year
Salary will be determined based on experience and position on the Main Pay Range. The maximum salary of £56,154 is applicable to candidates with substantial teaching experience equivalent to U3.
Teach Now is seeking a creative and enthusiastic Dance Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Brent from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a dynamic Performing Arts department, inspiring students to develop their confidence, creativity and performance skills through dance.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging Dance lessons across Key Stages 3–5, supporting students in exploring movement, choreography and performance while encouraging a passion for the performing arts.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver high-quality Dance lessons across KS3–KS5
• Teach a range of dance styles, techniques and choreography
• Prepare students for GCSE and/or A-Level Dance assessments
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback
• Create an inclusive and engaging learning environment for students of all abilities
• Contribute to curriculum planning within the Performing Arts department
• Support school productions, performances, dance clubs and enrichment activities

Requirements
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Degree in Dance, Performing Arts or a related subject
• Experience teaching Dance at secondary level (KS3–KS4)
• Strong knowledge of dance techniques, choreography and performance
• Ability to inspire and motivate students through creative teaching
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Experience teaching GCSE or A-Level Dance or organising school productions and performances would be advantageous.
