TRUST DOCTOR (FY2) EQUIVALENT LEVEL
Whipps Cross University Hospital
Full Time – Fixed Term for 4months

We are looking for a Trust Doctor (FY2) Equivalent Level in Emergency Medicine to cover a gap in service and the shifts will include some weekends and night duty as per rota.
The post is specifically for 4 months to cover a gap in the rotation from 01 April 2026 until 04 August 2026, with a possible extension if opportunities occur.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a Trust Doctor (FY2) Equivalent Level in Emergency Medicine to cover a gap in service and the shifts will include some weekends and night duty as per rota.
The post is specifically for 4 months to cover a gap in the rotation from 01 April 2026 until 04 August 2026, with a possible extension if opportunities occur.
This post is not recognized for foundation training and therefore full GMC registration will be required. However, support will be provided for portfolio development and an educational supervisor will be allocated. You will be expected to provide clinical work and there may be educational opportunities which are run for the benefit of the Foundation year trainees.

Qualifications and knowledge

Essential criteria

1. MB ChB or equivalent
2. MRCP(UK)Part I or equivalent

Desirable criteria

3. MRCS Part A and B or equivalent
4. MCEM Parts A and B or equivalent

Experience

5. Medical knowledge commensurate with grade

Skills

Essential criteria

6. Understanding of ALS principles

Personal and people development

7. Good communication skills both written and verbal.
8. Able to work within a multidisciplinary team

9. Commitment to quality care
10. Ability to organize ones CPD

Desirable criteria

11. Enthusiasm in teaching junior doctors, medical students and nurses
12. Involvement in clinical audit

13. The post holder will be required to work shifts and flexible hours.
