We are a small, Term Time Childrens Day Nursery based in Onslow, Guildford. We have a long history in the local Community and we are based in an idyllic location. Whether you are an existing Deputy Manager or someone looking for progression into this type of role, we would love to hear from you.
Job Title: Deputy Nursery Manager
* Assist the Manager in overseeing daily operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
* Provide leadership and support to staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
* Engage with children in educational activities that promote their development and well-being.
* Maintain effective communication with parents regarding their children's progress and any concerns that may arise.
* Implement early childhood education programmes that align with best practices and current educational standards.
* Manage administrative tasks such as record keeping, scheduling, and staff training coordination.
* Ensure the nursery is a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for all children.
* Support staff in developing their skills through mentoring and professional development opportunities.
Duties:
* Background in early childhood education & Montessori is highly desirable.
* A Level 3 or higher Childcare Qualification
* Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are required to interact effectively with children, parents, and staff.
