An opportunity to join the established Procurement function of this non-for-profit organisation based in Leicestershire. Available on a hybrid working basis with 2 days per week in the office, this role will take ownership of a range of Indirect spend and will make a tangible difference to this organisation.
Working with a high degree of autonomy across a broad stakeholder base, this role will drive and embed category strategy with an opportunity to develop best practice and ensure alignment with both procurement and organisational objectives. Key areas of focus pertain to: supporting business planning activity; developing the category strategy; providing procurement expertise to internal stakeholder; driving relevant procurement activity from end to end; driving supplier performance and innovation; and embed best practice in contract management.To succeed in this role, demonstrable procurement experience is required with Indirect Category exposure essential. With strong influencing and relationship building skills, you will be able to demonstrate how these have been applied and successes achieved both as a working as a business partner with key internal stakeholders and equally with driving strategic partnerships with suppliers. A self-motivated and positive approach to work is a pre-requisite with a strong customer focus required.
