UKA is seeking to appoint a Safeguarding Case Officer to join the UK Athletics safeguarding team. The purpose of this role is to support the UKA Head of Safeguarding in managing, coordinating and investigating safeguarding concerns and reports of abuse and poor practice made to UK Athletics and the Home Country Athletics Federations. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in safeguarding and protecting all participants in our sport and contributing to making athletics the safest sport possible. Required experience, skills and qualifications for this role include; Experienced investigator (PIP2 or equivalent training). Experience of working on complex investigations. Previous experience of responding to and investigating safeguarding concerns and referrals. Experience of working with victims or survivors of abuse. Knowledge of the statutory framework in relation to safeguarding children and adults and understanding of the processes in place for reporting safeguarding concerns to statutory agencies and UK Athletics. Sufficient educational attainment to demonstrate the ability to carry out the role to the required standard.
