Interim Financial Controller
£80,000–£90,000 pa pro rata | approx. 6 months | Hybrid (North West 2–3 days/week)
We are currently supporting an organisation in their search for an Interim Financial Controller - reporting into the Financial Director.
Ideally our client are looking for someone to start between mid June and mid July, for a 6 month period, whilst recruiting to the permanent role (therefore, applicants for the interim role who were also open to permanent opportunities, could consider applying for the role on a 'temp to perm' basis).
The role sits at the heart of the finance function, overseeing 4 direct reports and an overall team of around 30 across shared services, financial and management accounting, and payroll. Beyond the day-to-day responsibilities, there will be a significant transformation and process improvement element, following the recent implementation of a new finance system.
The successful candidate will play a role in:
* Finalising statutory accounts and the annual report
* Restructuring the team and reviewing process flows between finance and other key departments
* Supporting strategic programmes with growing financial oversight responsibilities
Key Requirements:
* Strong experience in statutory accounting and finance teams
* Proven ability to work in complex and fast paced environments
* Previous experience in the property sector is essential, particularly with fixed assets, lease accounting, and large-scale balance sheets
* Fully qualified (CCAB)
