Our Primary School is seeking a friendly, enthusiastic, and responsible After School Club Assistant to help run our vibrant and engaging after school provision. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to be part of a supportive school community. You will be supporting and engaging with children across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
This role is for an After School Club Assistant, however there may be opportunities for Breakfast Club roles too.

Job Title: After School Club Assistant
Location: Burnley Primary School
Contract Type: Part-time (Term Time Only)
Hours: Approximately 3pm – 5.30pm each day
Salary: £13.75 per hour
Start Date: September 2025
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and engage children aged 4–11 in a variety of play, creative, and structured activities.
- Adapt activities to meet the needs and interests of all children.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children at all times.
- Follow behaviour policies in the afterschool provision.
- Help set up and tidy away resources and equipment.
- Support with snack preparation and encourage healthy eating.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and school staff.
You will need to:
- Have experience working with children (school, childcare, youth work, or voluntary settings).
- Be caring, reliable, and energetic.
- Work well as part of a team and on their own initiative.
- Have good communication and organisational skills.
- Hold (or be willing to undertake) a relevant safeguarding qualification and enhanced DBS check.
