This is an exciting new role being introduced to support some of our most vulnerable learners.
We are seeking a candidate to develop a new curriculum with the intent to support pupils in securing foundation knowledge and skills that will enable them to access the broader mainstream secondary curriculum. Whilst developing pupil academic ability and addressing gaps and misconceptions, the Ambition curriculum is aimed at supporting pupil’s social and emotional development through a nurture approach to learning. We are fortunate enough to have direct access to our school farm and forest school provisions. This teacher will :• be responsible for the planning, intent, implementation and impact of the Ambition curriculum.• liaise with the Heads of Department for English, maths, science and humanities to develop a curriculum that enables pupils to exit into mainstream classes when the necessary progress has been made.• Support pupil social and emotional development• Monitor, analyse and report on progress to all stakeholders We are seeking a candidate who has a passion for working with SEND pupils. There is an opportunity for the right candidate to take on some paid responsibility for an aspect of SEND or alternatively be employed as the school SENDCo.
