Academics, a well-established education recruitment agency, is currently recruiting enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to work on a supply basis within a range of specialist Provisions and SEN schools across Halifax.
The Role
As a Supply SEN Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
* Providing tailored support to pupils with Special Educational Needs, including but not limited to ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and additional learning needs
* Working on a 1:1 basis or with small groups to support learning and engagement
* Supporting the class teacher with behaviour strategies and classroom activities
* Helping to foster a nurturing, inclusive, and safe learning environment
* Adapting your approach to meet the individual needs of each pupil
* Following EHCP's
Requirements Of a Supply SEN Teaching Assistant
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school experience is advantageous)
* A calm, patient, and empathetic nature
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
* An enhanced DBS registered on the update service, or willingness to apply for one
* The legal right to work in the UK
