We are pleased to share an opportunity for someone to us as a Fire Safety Officer. This is a full time job, working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. This is a Secondment opportunity offered until 31.03.2026. This role is working from our King Street office, in Norwich. The role comes with Agile Working. As a Fire Safety Officer, you will assist the Fire Safety Team in all relevant compliance streams that relate to fire prevention and fire safety systems. You will ensure our business remains compliant in all areas that relate to fire safety systems and conduct the required checks and tests to maintain our systems and be complaint with HSE regulations. Responsible for carrying out weekly tests as per British Standards to all assigned fire detection and alarm systems, you’ll conduct monthly emergency lighting tests (flash tests) to all assigned systems and ensuring the information is recorded accordingly. You’ll conduct low level fire assessments to assigned communal areas to assist the Fire Safety Supervisor in developing a data base for recording fire doors and their location. Additionally responsible for the sign off of remedial works. You will need to be an effective communicator both verbally and in writing. Competent and experienced in using all Microsoft packages. Possessing excellent organisation skills, able to work to deadlines and meet competing priorities. Either qualified or working towards professional qualifications, you will be educated to GCSE standard or equivalent. You will also require a full valid driving licence.
