We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and reliable EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive primary school in Romford, starting ASAP. As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support children’s learning and development across all areas of the EYFS framework. You will provide individual and small-group support, assist with daily routines, and help create a positive, stimulating classroom environment. Key Responsibilities Support the EYFS teacher with daily teaching and learning activities Provide 1:1 and small-group support as required Assist in delivering engaging, play-based learning experiences Observe and record children’s progress to support assessment Support children’s social, emotional, and personal development Encourage positive behaviour, independence, and confidence Assist with daily routines, including snack times, outdoor learning, and personal care Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and well-organised learning environment Work collaboratively with EYFS colleagues and wider school staff Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies at all times The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will: Have experience working with young children, ideally in an EYFS or nursery setting Be caring, patient, and enthusiastic Have a good understanding of early childhood development Be proactive, adaptable, and reliable Have strong communication and interpersonal skills Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children The school is located in Romford, with good transport links and a welcoming community.
