Role Summary
This role is responsible for accurately accounting for all the movements of all direct and indirect aircraft spares in and out of the warehouse while working as an integrated part of the operations in the UK and Ireland.
Key Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of the Stores Receiving Inspector are
Processing inbound and outbound orders to and from the base, from vendors, other Heli-One facilities or CHC bases, in a timely manor
Conducting a quality check of the parts and paperwork of purchase orders and movement slips.
Unpacking and repacking parts in accordance with aviation packing guidelines on handling and packing aviation parts, including Electrostatic Discharge and Dangerous Goods handling
Preparing shipments and shipping documentation
Receiving spares, Rotables and consumables ensuring compliance with CAA regulations and company procedures/Part 145 Regulations
Completing orders by selecting goods from shelves and issuing parts to engineers on the base
Liaising with Base Engineers and Material Coordinator on part requirements
Processing the return of goods back to stock
Stock counting and recording the number of spares in store during the annual stock count and be the main stock count lead for base in Aberdeen and by ensuring that they are completed in time for the fiscal year-end
Accountable for the inventory accuracy in Aberdeen
Binning/replenishing shelves
Running and maintaining the daily stores function for serviceable/ unserviceable spares
Chasing and tracking inbound shipments to the base and updating AMOS as required
Performing compliance monitoring on supply chain processes
Supporting the other bases in the UK if required by remote receiving
Engaging with local forwarders on the best options for shipment of spares in the country
May perform other duties as assigned by Management
Local travel may be required to the other bases in UK
Working in AMOS our computerised supply chain system
Ensuring that all training given through SQID, Pelesys is done in a timely manor
Plus any other tasks or duties assigned by supervisor or manager
Qualifications, Skills & Attributes
The ideal candidate will have the following:
Be organised and detail oriented with proven accuracy and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Be able to work on their own with little direct supervision
Be customer service focused
Be computer literate
Be prepared & willing to work outside the normal working hours if the operation at the base requires them to, for example in Aircraft on Ground situations
Relevant experience working in an aviation environment and/ or warehouse is preferred
Relevant experience handling aviation related parts is preferred
Knowledge of CAA regulations and familiarity with EASA / FAA / TCCA regulations is preferred
Dangerous goods handling, Electrostatic Discharge handling training, Human Factors training or any other aviation-related training is preferred
Forklift license is preferred
AMOS experience is preferred
Must have the right to live and work in UK
