We have a great opportunity for an Assistant Manager to support a busy engineering business in Filey during a busy period.
This temporary position sits at the centre of a fast-paced operational support function, keeping people, processes and projects running smoothly.
You will work closely with the Project Manager to keep daily operations on track and make sure the wider team has what they need to deliver.
Some of the key Assistant Manager duties include:
1. Approving timesheets, expenses and invoices
2. Managing urgent staffing requirements such as sickness cover
3. Coordinating inductions for new starters and requesting PPE
4. Creating and maintaining project onboarding paperwork for all start dates
5. Updating the rota and communicating changes to the Project Coordinator and admin teams
The ideal person will have previous management experience, be confident stepping into a busy environment and getting up to speed quickly. You will be someone the team can rely on, able to respond to last minute changes, work independently without needing direction and act as a go to support within a team.
This will be working 35 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 9am to 5pm with a 1-hour lunch, and Fridays 9am to with a 30-minute lunch. This temporary role starts as soon as possible and is expected to run until around March/April.
