We are seeking a highly organised and motivated events assistant to be part of this team. Personality and team fit are important and, specific to this new role, we need someone who is organised, enthusiastic, flexible and a quick learner. You may have just left school, university or college, looking for the first step in your events career, or have already spent some time in a marketing and/or events role and want to build on that.
The successful candidate will work in a supportive, collegiate team. Reporting to the senior events executive, this role will be responsible for supporting across all areas of events, with specific responsibilities including:
1. Diary management – supporting pre-event inception meetings and post-event debrief meetings, venue and supplier appointments, event date placeholders and agendas
2. Systems and maintenance – owning inbox and event calendar management, event timelines, internal event guide maintenance and invoice management
3. Venue and supplier support – performing research tasks, attending and supporting site visits, venue and supplier liaison and managing recommended suppliers lists
4. Invitations and guest lists – supporting invitation and web page creation, RSVP monitoring and attendee communications
5. Event collateral – creating guest lists, name badges, menu cards and session handouts
6. On the day support – attending events (including evenings but not on weekends)
7. Ad hoc – supporting the team and contributing ideas to further improve events elevation and professionalism, taking on general enquiries and ad hoc tasks as required

13. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office

Overtime will be required for this role when support for events is required outside of standard working hours.
