Work as part of the primary health care team providing high quality nursing intervention to the practice population and promoting wellbeing through health education and screening services..Recognise and promote the wide remit of the Treatment Nurse.Work closely with the doctors and management in the setting up and/or improving of practice systems for monitoring /measuring performance against clinical governance and quality indicator targets.Work with other nursing colleagues prioritise own workload, maintain and stock working area and ensure effective time management strategies are embedded in own practice. Help the practice operate in a cost-effective manner and be able to evolve their skill mix to the needs of the practice.
Responsibilities
* Responsible for bloods, dressings, vaccinations, including baby vaccination, injections and ordering.
* Apply to infection control measure within the practice according to local and national guidelines.
* Responsible reporting of any incidents/accidents.
Skills and Qualifications
* Nursing & Midwifery Council registration with valid PIN required.
* Sound clinical knowledge of Treatment Room Nursing.
* Knowledge of the baby vaccination programme.
