Health & Safety Manager – Office Based (with Travel Across the South West)

A respected and well-established housebuilder is seeking a dedicated Health & Safety Manager to lead its health, safety, and environmental strategy across multiple live sites and office locations.
This is a strategic and high-impact role, ideal for a proactive and experienced professional who is passionate about driving a strong safety culture, ensuring legal compliance, and protecting the wellbeing of all employees, subcontractors, and site visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage all health and safety functions across construction sites, office and yard environments
2. Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
3. Provide expert advice to site teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders
4. Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions
5. Deliver internal training and toolbox talks
6. Ensure continuous improvement and up-to-date compliance with legislation
7. Represent the business with external regulators and accreditation bodies
About You:
8. NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ Level 6 in Occupational Health & Safety
9. CertIOSH as a minimum and working towards CMIOSH
10. At least 5 years’ experience in health & safety within construction or housebuilding
11. Excellent communication and leadership skills
12. Strong knowledge of legislation, risk management, and incident investigation
13. A collaborative, coaching approach to safety and compliance
