Professional Services Engineer – MSFT Security/MWP Solutions
A Bechtle MSFT Security / MWP (Modern Workplace) Engineer is a member of the Professional Services Team within the Business Solutions and Services – Post Sales department. You will be responsible for planning, designing, migrating, and securing Microsoft Cloud solutions for our clients. Your primary focus will be to understand our clients’ requirements and design/implement Modern Workplace and Microsoft security solutions based on best practices. Collaboration and communication with all key stakeholders is essential to deliver high‑quality solutions and services. This role requires a deep understanding of Microsoft Security & Modern Workplace technologies and a passion for staying up to date with advances in the cloud computing domain.
Job Role Responsibilities
* Solution Design and Implementation: Collaborate with clients and internal teams to assess modern workplace requirements, design solutions, and implement them to best practice.
* EMS & Endpoint Management: Manage and optimize endpoint devices, ensuring seamless integration and security through Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MEMCM) or other modern device management tools.
* Mobile Device Management (MDM): Implement and configure MDM policies using Microsoft Intune or other EMS tools to manage and secure mobile devices across platforms.
* Application Management: Deploy and manage applications through EMS platforms, ensuring secure and seamless access to business applications on mobile devices.
* Security and Compliance: Implement robust security measures to safeguard client data, devices, and communications, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
* Identity and Access Management (IAM): Configure and maintain identity management solutions (Entra ID / Azure Active Directory, Conditional Access), deploy role‑based access controls, and enforce secure user authentication.
* Data Protection and Encryption: Implement data protection strategies, encryption mechanisms, and data loss prevention (DLP) policies.
* Security Architecture: Design comprehensive security architectures for Microsoft cloud environments, leveraging Azure and Microsoft 365 security features.
* Monitoring & Incident Response: Configure and deploy security monitoring tools, threat detection, and incident response capabilities.
* Compliance: Ensure client compliance with relevant regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2) via Microsoft cloud security controls.
* Azure Security Services: Configure and manage Azure Security Center, Azure AD, Key Vault, Azure Policy, and related services.
* Documentation: Create and develop detailed technical documentation, security playbooks, and configuration improvements.
* Continuous Learning: Stay updated on Microsoft security/Modern Workplace features, assess new capabilities, and inform clients.
* Support & Guidance: Provide technical support and guidance to other PS team members and support their skill development.
Job Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
* Proven experience in Microsoft Cloud Security and Modern Workplace, architecting and implementing client solutions.
* Strong expertise in Microsoft cloud services (Azure, Microsoft 365).
* In‑depth knowledge of EMS technologies (Intune, Azure AD, Conditional Access).
* Familiarity with MDM and application management concepts.
* Experience with IAM principles and best practices.
* Solid understanding of information protection and data security.
* Experience in Azure Cloud Security and related services.
* Experience with security assessment methodologies and frameworks.
* Proficiency in scripting/automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or similar.
* Experience with monitoring/logging tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights).
* Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
* Azure certifications (Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Security Engineer Associate).
* Excellent communication skills and strong collaboration with technical & non‑technical stakeholders.
* Passion for continuous learning in cloud computing, cloud security, and related technologies.

Experience
* 5+ years in Microsoft Security and MWP delivering and optimising client solutions.
* Proven experience in Cloud security/MWP solutions and technologies.
* Desirable certifications (current & in date):
o Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
o Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
o Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate
o Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert
o Microsoft Azure Security Technologies
o Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect
