Purpose of the role:
We are looking for a highly organised and detail‑driven Customs & Logistics Coordinator to manage and support our export and import loading operations. Accurate documentation, effective communication, and strong customs compliance are key to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Customs & Documentation
1. Coordinate with the Logistics team to ensure export loads are picked and confirmed ahead of collection.
2. Raise invoices in line with legal requirements and group standards, including commodity codes, wording, and pricing accuracy.
3. Issue packing lists and transmit documentation to export brokers, loading depots, and relevant stakeholders (including EAD and T1).
4. Liaise with Customer Service teams across regions to ensure timely import clearance.
5. Manage communication with import/export brokers and customs authorities, strengthening key relationships.
6. Handle customs queries from customers, brokers, hauliers, and internal departments.
7. Implement and maintain tracking systems for import/export clearances.
8. Ensure accurate filing and storage of customs documents to audit standards.
9. Cross‑check invoices and support departments with customs-related queries (samples, returns)
10. Share customs statistics with the Logistics Manager.
11. Assist with producing despatch documentation and sending post‑confirmation documents to selected customers.
Operational Support
12. Support inter-branch product transfers.
13. Raise transport and pallet purchase orders.
14. Provide driver liaison support where needed.
15. Participate in daily reviews, meetings, and cell inductions.
16. Assist with unloading activities when required.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
17. General education level with experience in warehouse operations and Enterprise One (E1).
18. Strong knowledge of customs procedures and logistics processes, including inventory control.
19. Awareness of HSHE requirements (e.g., IOSH, First Aid, Fire Safety).
20. Understanding of quality systems.
21. E1/RFS super-user capability.
22. Proficient in MS Office and IT systems.
23. Experience coaching, mentoring, and developing others.
