Havant / Portsmouth,Hampshire areaStart date - asapWorking conditions: Normal office and light workshop environmentTHE ROLE & OPPORTUNITYAs a result of expansion my client has an exciting new vacancy for their R&D function who MUST have strong experience with strain gauging;Reporting directly to the Head of Operations, duties will include:working in a team in theirload cell production facilitybuilding, calibrating, and testing load sensorsadhering toproduction schedules, output targets, and quality standardswork with operations to optimise parts forecastCANDIDATE PROFILE:The ideal applicant will have;Firm knowledge of strain gauging & tenure within the industryAnalog electronicsMaterial impacts on strain gauge/adhesive choiceSurface preparationsStrain gauge suppliersStrong background in mechanical and electronic assembly, ideally with sensor style productsHas worked with calibration procedures and is comfortable with test equipmentCan interpret engineering drawingsIdeally from a low-to-medium volume, high-precision production environmentUnderstands capacity managementComfortable with small batch / precision manufacturing, not just mass productionExperience with digital twin-like systems, production data logging and quality controlExperience with ISO9001Has worked with and applied of lean, six-sigma, kaizen methodologiesCharacter;Calm, practical, andorganisedCan helptrain up less experienced team membersCan balance speed vs. care
