Senior Geo‑Environmental Engineer
Full‑time, permanent position based in Halesowen, UK.
As a Senior Engineer you will take ownership of projects, mentor junior staff, and contribute to business development while maintaining a strong focus on delivery and compliance.

Responsibilities
* Design, manage and deliver desk studies, site investigations, risk assessments, and remediation strategies.
* Undertake occasional supervision of ground investigations, earthworks and remediation.
* Prepare and check high‑quality technical reports and ensure regulatory compliance.
* Provide sound technical input and advice on contaminated land, waste, materials management, groundwater and ground gas risk assessments.
* Provide sound technical input and advice on geotechnical engineering matters including preliminary foundation optioneering, design calculations, earthworks and mining risk assessment, investigation and treatment.
* Check/approve laboratory scheduling.
* Effectively communicate with colleagues, subcontractors and clients.
Qualifications and Experience
* BSc/MSc in Environmental Science, Geology, Earth Sciences, Geotechnical Engineering, or related discipline.
* Typically 5–10 years’ experience in geo‑environmental consultancy.
* Strong technical knowledge of UK contaminated land legislation and risk assessment frameworks (e.g. LCRM, BS10175, BS5930, CL:AIRE Definition of Waste Industry Code of Practice, Eurocode 7/ BS8004, NHBC Standards).
* Ability to manage and lead projects, with strong commercial awareness and ability to manage budgets and contribute to financial reporting.
* Excellent communication and report‑writing skills.
* Working towards or holding Chartered status (CGeol, CEnv, CSci) desirable.
* Fluency with Microsoft Office; GIS/CAD knowledge desirable.
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel/ stay away overnight on occasion.
