About the Opportunity
We are looking for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist who wants to take the next step in their career and embrace a new challenge. The role will be based in the Acute Medical Team at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital as the only clinician in a specialist, high‑acuity environment.
Responsibilities
As part of an integrated rehabilitation service, you will work autonomously to deliver a high standard of assessment, diagnosis and intervention across the wide range of acute medical wards. Your duties include:
* Providing independent, proactive and holistic assessment and treatment planning using advanced clinical reasoning.
* Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to support seamless patient care.
* Mentoring and developing rotational Band 5 therapists and supervising therapy support staff.
* Educating therapy students during placement.
* Actively participating in quality improvement projects to enhance the Acute Medicine team.
