This role is a fixed term post that will entail supporting learners of diagnostic radiography within the clinical environment. The successful candidate will be expected to travel to any of the sites within UHBW that learners are placed in to support them as they learn the clinical role.
This post also involves developing and improving the learning experience of undergraduates, apprentices and B5 radiographers, in close collaboration with the B7 Practice Educators.
Main duties of the job
Assist the Band 7 Practice Educator in the ongoing development of training and education programmes for the imaging team.
Plan and produce training resources.
Have a flexible approach to the working week, being prepared to travel to wherever needed within the Trust.
Evaluate learners progress and performance, varying the approach and resources as required.
Being a good role model with high standards of imaging and clinical expertise.
Good communication and documentation skills are essential to ensure continuity of training within the team and with the education provider if required.

* - Thorough and up to date knowledge of best practice in plain imaging
* - Experience in departmental operational management
* - Experience in teaching and supervising clinical learners
* - Have knowledge of practice placement requirements, and knowledge of current local and national guidance and priorities related to this role.
