Job Description
* 6 month FTC with potential of going perm
* Site based in Hull
* Standard Monday to Friday hours
Here at ISS, as one of the UK's leading Facilities Management (FM) providers, we are looking to recruit a Facilities Supervisor to support day to facilities operations on our client's train maintenance depot and general facilities.
Here, working with client staff and various visiting contractors your role is to coordinate and oversee largely maintenance works across the site carried out by visiting contractors, these engineering works will fall across Mechanical, Electrical, Building Fabric, Working at heights etc
You will be their first point of contact, and will ensure they are qualified and suitable to carry out the role.
While the position is quite Health & Safety orientated around checking RAMs, Risk Assessments, Method Statements, ensuring processes are robust and adhered to, as the site Facilities Supervisor you will also need to work reactively in case of emerging issues, such as failed lighting, broken doors etc to ensure works are organised for repairs.
So the role should be best understood as a general Facilities Supervisor role, working across different areas with a H&S element.
While this is currently a 6 month FTC, there is good scope of the role going perm.
We are happy to consider either Facilities Supervisors, Coordinators, H&S staff, or engineers.
Actions will include:
* Responsible for sub-contractor prequalification, reviewing Risk Assessments and Method Statements, delivering subcontractor inductions, issuing Work Authorisations and Permits to Work to ensure the safe delivery of work across site.
* Liaison with sub-contractor groups, and account key stakeholders, to ensure the timely issue of work authorisations & permits to work in line with procedural requirements.
* Plan and prioritise works, in collaboration with key stakeholders, to ensure operational efficiency.
* Audit and inspection of sub-contractor works to ensure adherence to procedural and legislative requirements to drive compliance and continuous improvement.
* Report, investigate and drive corrective/preventative actions in instances of sub-contractor violations and non-conformances to prevent re-occurrences.
* Compliance reporting to demonstrate operational transparency and to identify opportunities for improvement.
* React quickly to unforeseen issues
We need from you:
* Some level of experience within Facilities Management, either as a general Supervisor/Coordinator, or a Health & Safety approach, or in Maintenance Engineering
