Assist pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development in a safe, nurturing environment. Provide individual or small-group support, including interventions for pupils needing extra help. Help prepare classroom resources and support learning routines. Encourage literacy, numeracy, and wider curriculum skills through creative and engaging approaches. Monitor pupil wellbeing and promptly raise any safeguarding concerns. Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support pupil progress. Maintain a patient and positive approach, adapting to meet the diverse needs of learners. The Ideal Candidate A compassionate, enthusiastic individual passionate about supporting children’s learning and progress in KS2. Previous experience in a primary school or KS2 classroom is highly desirable. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues. Patient, adaptable, and creative, with a love of supporting KS2 pupils. Able to work well in a team while also showing initiative in the classroom. A good understanding of safeguarding and a commitment to children’s wellbeing. Relevant teaching assistant qualifications (Level 2/3) are an advantage but not essential.
