Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes or home care settings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital part in enhancing the quality of life for those you care for by assisting with daily activities and promoting independence.
Responsibilities
* Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support clients in following their care plans and achieving their individual goals.
* Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
* Help with meal preparation and ensure clients receive adequate nutrition.
* Assist clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and communicate effectively with the care team.
* Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.
* Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the living environment for clients.
Requirements
* Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is advantageous but not essential.
* Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
* Basic IT skills for maintaining records and communication purposes.
* A valid driving licence is preferred.
* Strong interpersonal skills with a caring attitude towards others.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
* Understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately is beneficial.
