Agency : Havas Job Description :. We are looking for an ambitious Strategy Manager to help lead European strategy for a range of direct and group clients. POP’s Audience-First Production Model is designed to elevate the value contribution of Production in a clients’ marketing efforts. We’re involved upstream with clients to help define their full-funnel campaign strategy, and remain involved downstream through measurement and optimization of served assets. As this is a “reframing” of value delivered by the production team, providing strategic guidance for clients and internal teams is critical. The role will help connect the dots between audience data, competitive opportunity, creative direction, media activation, and the clients’ desired brand and business outcomes. The Strategy Manager will have a clear understanding of the strategic focus of our own Audience First Production business and understand the need for developing profitable business from existing and new clients. In order to do this the Strategy Manager must develop an understanding about each client’s business, the audiences we need to reach, and about the range of Create, Scale and Personalize Production services we have available (or can develop) to support the achievement of their objectives. Supporting the Global Strategy Director, your role is to create compelling, Audience-First thinking that impacts the assets we Create, Scale and Personalize, for delivery of our clients’ desired brand and business outcomes. This role will help ensure Prose on Pixels remains indispensable to clients, and be at the forefront of growth opportunities. We need strong, proven strategy experience, ambition and confidence that can hit the ground running. Mission & Responsibilities Intelligence Gathering & Analysis Our ideal candidate needs to show a natural inquisitiveness and passion for gathering and interpreting data, to make solid, factual observations whilst identifying real insights to truly propel growth driving communication strategies. This involves: Being fully conversant with all primary media research tools : e.g. TGI, YouGov, GWI etc. Having knowledge of wider sources of potential intelligence : e.g. Google, social listening tools, trend sources Being able to tell the important ‘stories in the numbers’ through clear synthesis and articulation of findings Creating ad-hoc market/brand/media/consumer analysis, based on client briefs Developing target audience profiling work and competitive analysis Showing attention to detail in organizing data Client Relationships It is of critical importance that the POP Audience-First strategy team has strong relationships with both client and Havas agency partners, especially Media and Creative teams. The role of strategy individuals in this ‘client experience’ is paramount ; Build excellent rapport and trust as the foundation for the relationship Politely challenge, stoke creativity and help create the glue between client and agency stakeholders Support (Strategy Director) in leading all strategic conversations with clients concerning production Championing Audience-First Production Being a lead voice in delivery of our Audience-First promise. As Strategy Manager you will be expected to: Quickly become the go-to for any questions and guidance sought by colleagues Possess a strong understanding and point of view to help POP teams successfully partner through the strategy stages of Audience First Production (Scope definition, Craft Enhancement, Measurement, Optimization) Scrutinise, and offer constructive feedback - ensuring central strategic pillars and principles are present and adhered to Contributing To Thought Leadership The Strategy Manager will be expected to be a self-starter in finding and contextualising for our clients and industry, interesting and innovative developments in culture, communication and human behaviour. Work together with Strategy team colleagues in a joined-up knowledge sharing and best practice programme that positions POP as leaders in understanding audience-first communication Take ownership of POP’s format best practice knowledge centre Experience Minimum 3-5 years experience in a media agency (Media Intelligence, Planning) or data-led Creative agency Soft Skills & Competencies Strong analytical skills – Comfortable working with data, extracting necessary info to write insightfully Perspective – Ability to identify the problem before rushing straight to ‘an answer’ Responsibility –You will have a can-do attitude and remain calm and professional under pressure Collaboration – The role will suit a collaborator not a lone thinker.
