The Role
Telford and Wrekin Council are seeking a dedicated Social Worker to manage a caseload of varying complexity within our Children's Services. The successful candidate will lead on complex assessments, providing evidence as necessary in court proceedings while exercising high-quality judgment in challenging situations.
Key Requirements
Manage a caseload, conducting thorough assessments and employing appropriate intervention strategies tailored to service users, families, and settings.
Demonstrate effective judgment regarding risk and accountability, making timely decisions when positive change is not occurring and employing contingency planning to navigate complexities.
Foster strong relationships with children, young people, families, and partner agencies to support informed decision-making and service planning.
Work in partnership with a range of statutory, independent, and voluntary services to develop and implement care plan objectives and desired outcomes.
Routinely evaluate the quality and impact of your practice, actively participating in reflective practice group meetings and promoting the Code of Ethics and regulatory standards.
