Job Title: Speech and Language Therapist
Location: Manchester / Wythenshawe / North West
Salary: £40,000–£50,000 (DOE)
Contract: Full-time / Part-time considered
Role Purpose
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Speech and Language Therapist (SaLT) to support children and young people within a specialist education setting.
The successful candidate will work with learners with SEND, SEMH, autism, speech and communication needs, and complex learning needs, helping improve communication, language development, emotional regulation, and access to learning.
You will play a vital role in delivering therapeutic interventions and supporting EHCP outcomes within a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct speech and language assessments and contribute to EHCP outcomes.
* Deliver 1:1, group and classroom-based therapy interventions.
* Support learners with speech, language, communication and social interaction needs.
* Create therapy plans, reports and clinical notes.
* Provide communication strategies and classroom recommendations to school staff.
* Work collaboratively with families, teachers and external professionals.
* Participate in safeguarding and multidisciplinary meetings.
Requirements
* Qualified Speech and Language Therapist (SaLT).
* Registered with HCPC (essential).
* Membership with RCSLT preferred.
* Experience in paediatric, school-based or SEND settings preferred.
* Experience supporting autism, SLCN, SEMH and complex needs.
* Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain).
