Our client, a leading name in the automotive industry, is seeking a Project Engineer to join their team on a contract basis in Gaydon, Warwickshire. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-impact engineering projects, working at the forefront of innovation and technology.
As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of engineering-based projects, from design and planning through to implementation and commissioning. You’ll play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement operational plans for engineering projects.
* Prepare detailed designs, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates.
* Oversee production, transportation, installation, testing, and commissioning of infrastructure and equipment.
* Monitor project progress and performance, resolving issues to minimize delays.
* Identify and secure necessary resources, including materials, equipment, and personnel.
* Prepare engineering standards and work specifications.
* Manage project schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
* Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to ensure successful project delivery.
About You:
* You are a Specialist Professional (P4 level) with deep expertise in project engineering.
* You have a proven track record of managing large-scale or complex engineering projects with minimal supervision.
* You are confident in coaching and delegating tasks to junior professionals.
* You thrive in solving complex problems and navigating technical challenges.
* You bring strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Requirements:
* Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
* Significant experience in project engineering, ideally within the automotive or manufacturing sectors.
* Strong understanding of engineering standards, project controls, and resource planning.
* Ability to work on-site in Gaydon, Warwickshire.
