We're looking for a Promotional Commercial Advisor to work with our Wholesale & Convenience teams to assist in the promotional planning and execution across a variety of channels and ensure correct administration
Our Commercial Support Team plays a crucial role in ensuring the commercial strategy is executed flawlessly for our Convenience and Wholesale partners. We are the bridge between commercial planning and in-store reality, providing essential support to our sales channels. By managing the day-to-day operations and administrative tasks, we empower our Commercial team to focus on strategic growth while we guarantee that all promotional, pricing, and product plans are implemented accurately and on time, maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
This position follows a 5 day working week, 3 days each week office based.
Hilmore House, our head office, offers convenient amenities, including a subsidised on-site restaurant, coffee shop, convenience and sample store, a prayer room, free parking, and frequent company wide events and promotions.
Applicants should live within a reasonable commuting distance of our office.
Key Responsibilities
You'll be instrumental in delivering exceptional, customer-focused initiatives that drive sales and improve profit margins across various channels. You will enhance the capabilities of our team by collaborating with departments throughout the business. This includes supporting the admin of turning supplier-led product nominations into competitive and compelling customer propositions, always ensuring both quality and value.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
* Ability to manage multiple requirements to short timescales
* Strong desire to give excellent customer service
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Trading, Supply Chain, and Account Management
* Resolve supplier queries related to credits and invoices
* Monitoring data accuracy with control checks.
* Once embedded in the role, to be a pro-active individual that can suggest improvements and support on the implementation of process improvements
* Act as a point of contact for wholesale customers and suppliers regarding promotional activities, ensuring clear and timely communication
* Operating in full compliance with the Grocery Suppliers Code of Practice (GSCOP)

About You

* Proficient in spreadsheets and basic formulae (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets)
* Proven administration experience with a keen eye for detail
* Working at pace with the team and also being self motivated
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and flexible environment, demonstrating high levels of drive, energy, and enthusiasm.
* Background in analytical problem-solving and decision-making.
* Basic understanding of SQL and querying data ( desired but not essential )
