Pharmacy Technician – Pharmacotherapy Team
An opportunity has arisen in the Pharmacotherapy Team within NHS Borders for a dynamic, enthusiastic and self‑motivated Pharmacy Technician. This role supports the delivery of the primary care clinical pharmacy service, joining an established pharmacy team responsible for delivering medicines management and pharmacy input to a range of primary care settings.

Responsibilities
* Work with Primary Care Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians, GPs, other Health and Social Care Professionals and staff to improve medicines management and deliver excellent patient care.
* Deliver the Pharmacotherapy service as part of the GMS contract, supporting patients with their medicines.
* Collaborate within the pharmacy hub to implement new and innovative ways of working and continually develop the roles and responsibilities of pharmacy staff.
* Support training, education and personal development initiatives as the service and role evolves.
Qualifications
* Qualified Pharmacy Technician registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, organisational and IT skills.
* Ability to influence and effect change within a health care setting.
* Relevant pharmacy experience.
Working Conditions
* Location: Pharmacy Hub at Newtown St Boswells.
* Working hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week (part‑time options available).
* Post may require a different level of criminal records check and, if regulated, will be subject to the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
