Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual who is passionate about technical services to join our friendly team of pharmacy assistants, technicians and pharmacists to help deliver safe, high-quality medicines to our patients in a timely manner.
You will be a self‑motivated individual with excellent communication skills and the desire to learn and develop. You will already be a qualified Registered Pharmacy Technician, a Production technician or have an equivalent qualification with aseptic experience.
Responsibilities
* You will be a key part of a team responsible for the timely provision of aseptically dispensed products, which include chemotherapy and intravenous additives. You will ensure that products are manufactured in line with operating procedures and that a safe and effective service is provided to its users.
* You will be responsible for the supervision of staff and managing the day‑to‑day running of the unit.
* You will provide and co‑ordinate Technical Pharmacy Services to the whole of the Technical Services section of the Pharmacy.
* Manage the day‑to‑day activities of staff; allocate work to all staff including training of new staff.
* Work in close collaboration with other professionals e.g. Pharmacists, Consultants, Nurses, Doctors and other Pharmacy staff.
* You will follow set Departmental Standard Operating Procedures and Policies as they operate at the place of work at all times while working on your own and are able to refer to the Chief Technician.
* You will undertake within SOP’s checking of manufactured items.
