Werecurrently seeking a Sheltered Housing Assistantfluent in Somalito become part of our dedicated Housing Management team.Youllbe workingat our Phoenix Courtsheltered housing schemein the London Borough ofTower Hamlets,supporting residents aged 55 and over.As a key member of our Independent Living service,youllhelp ensure residents feel safe, secure, and empowered to live independently, while delivering high-quality housing management services.
Youllbuild meaningful relationships, foster a welcoming environment, and support new residents as they settle into the community.
~ Ensure resident and site safety by conducting regular health and safety inspections, following fire safety procedures, andmonitoringthe premises.Youllreport repairs, oversee general upkeep, and work closely with contractors to ensure that communal areas and site facilitiesremainwell-maintained and secure.
~ Youllcontribute to smooth operations by managing documentation, supporting policy implementation, and keeping reception and entrance areas clean and welcoming.
~ Work as part of the Housing Management team to address anti-social behaviour, resolve tenancy concerns, and escalate issues when necessary.Fluent in Somali:Able to communicate fluently in Somali, in both written and spoken forms, to providehighqualitysupport to our Somalian residents.
~ Customer Service Excellence:Proven experience providing high-quality service in a resident-facing role, handling sensitive issues with empathy and professionalism.
~ Interest or experience in health and safety procedures, with an understanding of fire safety, estate inspections, and safe working practices.
~ A positive, flexible attitude and the ability to work well within a team, sharing information and collaborating to find effective solutions.
