In this role you will support the off-shore wind projects in the renewable energy sector through a combination of Management Accounting, Business Partnering and reporting to the SPV board which has been setup to deliver this construction project.
We are looking for a professionally qualified accountant with experience of technical accounting, auditing and statutory reporting alongside Management Accounting and Business Partnering skill. This is a broad role in what is a small but growing project that will grow in scope and scale during the next phase of development.
Your role will include:
1. Liaise with various teams and budget holders in order to forecast the financial and cash-needs of the business and liaise with the Group treasury teams to draw-down funds for the business.
2. Analyse actual financial and budget performance against monthly targets, perform variance analysis and report findings for budget holders and the SPV board, you will lead on helping the business to perform well against targets.
3. Lead on the annual budgeting, forecasting and business planning cycle to ensure that the financial vision for the project is clearly set-out and understood, you will work with the business to undertake the budgeting process.
4. Ensure the business is financially compliant and ensure that all statutory and tax filings are completed accurately and on time, you will ensure they meet their financial obligations as a firm.
5. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including budget holders, the SPV board, the leadership team, group treasury, banking, audit and taxation professionals. Relationship building and managing outcomes are important in this role.

You will have the following skills and experience:
6. Be a fully qualified accountant holding an ICAS, ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW or equivalent professional licence and have prior experience in energy, infrastructure or other projects underpinned by project finance.
7. You will have experience of Management Accounting and Business Partnering, you need to be comfortable using financial information and supporting commercial performance.
8. Experience of managing internal and external relationships with both expert and non-expert audiences, you will lead on the audit and statutory returns process.
9. You will be native user of accounting software and analysis tools such as a Excel, you will broadly be comfortable using digital technology as part of your role.
