As a Front of House Team Member, you will be the face of our establishment, providing exceptional service to our guests. Your role is vital in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring that all patrons have a memorable dining experience. You will be responsible for various tasks that contribute to the smooth operation of the front of house, including serving food and beverages, managing guest interactions, and maintaining cleanliness.
Responsibilities
* Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a friendly and inviting atmosphere.
* Take orders accurately and efficiently, providing recommendations and upselling menu items when appropriate.
* Serve food and beverages promptly while adhering to food safety standards.
* Assist in food preparation as needed, ensuring high-quality presentation and taste.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and service stations.
* Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism, striving to resolve issues effectively.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and communication regarding orders.
* Adhere to health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Skills
* Strong hospitality skills with a passion for delivering excellent guest services.
* Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, particularly in a front of house role.
* Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations.
* Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
* Time management abilities to efficiently juggle multiple tasks during busy periods.
* Experience in culinary or kitchen roles is an advantage but not essential.
