Overview
Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust is looking for an experienced Security Manager or Local Security Management Specialist (LSMS) to manage a wide range of security services across multiple sites within the county. The role requires experience in large, complex organisations such as the NHS, with the ability to coordinate and influence stakeholders at all levels. The post holder will provide competent security advice and guidance across the Trust and drive the implementation of the Trust's security strategy.
Responsibilities
* Formulate and implement security policies and advise on security procedures across all sites.
* Plan and implement an agreed security strategy and advise the Trust's senior management on its delivery.
* Lead and manage a team of security professionals (directly and through PFI partners) to ensure provision of physical security services.
* Negotiate contracts related to CCTV, access control, and other security services; manage annual budgets.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with internal clients, external stakeholders, and contractors.
* Provide professional leadership and strategic direction in security, with the ability to lead, motivate, and manage diverse teams (clinical and non-clinical).
* Identify training and development needs and manage disciplinary issues where necessary.
* Advise on legal aspects related to stalking, harassment, assault, GBH, ABH, verbal aggression, trespass, and criminal damage, ensuring timely and collaborative resolution of any concerns.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Experience in a senior security advisory role within a large NHS or similarly complex organisation.
* Experience coordinating and influencing a range of people at all levels.
* Ability to manage contracts covering CCTV and access control systems and provide competent security guidance across the Trust.
* Strong knowledge of applicable law related to security and safety issues as listed above.
