Cybersecurity Engineer
Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Cybersecurity Engineer to protect our organization's systems, networks, and data from cyber threats. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and maintain security solutions while proactively identifying vulnerabilities and mitigating risks. This role requires strong technical expertise, analytical thinking, and a commitment to maintaining industry best practices and compliance standards.
Requirements
Design, implement, and manage enterprise security architecture and controls
Monitor security systems, networks, and endpoints for suspicious activity
Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
Investigate security incidents and lead incident response efforts
Implement firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and endpoint protection tools
Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation
Perform risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies
Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, SOC 2)
Collaborate with IT, DevOps, and leadership teams to strengthen security posture
Stay current with emerging threats, tools, and security best practices
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or network security
Strong knowledge of firewalls, SIEM tools, EDR, VPNs, and encryption technologies
Experience With Cloud Security (AWS, Azure, Or GCP Preferred)
Solid understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, etc.)
Hands-on experience with vulnerability scanning tools and security frameworks
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Certifications
CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker)
Security+
CISM or equivalent
