Inside Sales Representative – Science & Engineering Sector
Location: Based in office full-time during onboarding (first month), then hybrid – 3 days office / 2 days home

Alignment Search and Selection is working exclusively with a leading international business in the scientific instrumentation space, looking to bring on a proactive and confident Inside Sales Representative to support their growing Environmental Sales Team across the EMEA region.
This role is ideal for someone with a technical background and a strong commercial mindset — someone who enjoys solving problems, working with customers, and supporting sales activities that truly make a difference in the world.

Key Responsibilities:
* Act as the key coordination point between internal teams (production, logistics, finance, client services) to ensure seamless order processing and customer communication.
* Respond to inbound customer enquiries and prepare accurate quotations.
* Support the wider sales team with CRM/ERP management and sales reporting.
* Build long-term relationships with existing customers and identify opportunities for repeat or upsell business.
* Provide logistical support for events, workshops, and customer meetings.
* Ensure documentation and processes are consistently professional and accurate.
* Assist in solving customer issues to support their ongoing success.
What We’re Looking For:
Essential:
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset.
* Confidence in speaking with customers and internal stakeholders.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office tools and CRM/ERP platforms.
* A keen interest in scientific, environmental, or engineering-led industries.
Desirable:
* A degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Life Sciences, or related fields.
* Prior experience in technical sales, customer support, or commercial coordination roles.
* Additional European language skills (e.g. French, German, Spanish) would be a plus.
Important Note on Working Pattern:
This role requires full-time, on-site office attendance for the first month during the onboarding and training period. After that, the role will transition to a hybrid model, working 3 days per week in the office and 2 days from home.
