We are looking for an enthusiastic Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our Intermediate Care Rehabilitation Therapy Team based within the East Dorset Locality.
The role involves providing Physiotherapy assessments and treatments to patients with acute illnesses to prevent unnecessary hospital admissions, facilitate complex discharges, and support patients with Long Term Goals. The position is predominantly community-based but may require work on hospital wards within the local Community Hospital. The successful candidate must hold a valid UK Driving License and have access to a car.
As a Band 6 Physiotherapist, you will have the opportunity to:
* Develop discipline-specific skills.
* Enhance holistic assessment skills beyond traditional Physiotherapy practices.
* Develop supervisory, leadership, and service development skills.
* Support junior and assistant staff and contribute to their development.
If you are seeking an employer committed to removing traditional boundaries and barriers to bring rehabilitation and care directly to patients when and where they need it, and if you wish to work alongside motivated, passionate, and visionary colleagues, then we invite you to join us.
Note: Applications from candidates requiring current Skilled Worker sponsorship to work in the UK are unfortunately not eligible.
Your responsibilities include providing Physiotherapy assessments and treatments to individuals in their homes, care homes, or on Community Hospital wards, depending on the Locality. You will deliver high-quality, person-centered care that always considers safety, privacy, and dignity. You will manage a caseload, provide specialist advice, develop care programs for others, and act as a role model promoting Trust behaviors such as being proactive, positive, respectful, supportive, reliable, and trustworthy.
Employment in this role requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover. Applicants subscribing to the DBS update service can present a valid DBS certificate instead of a new check.
