Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor – Infrastructure

We are currently seeking personable, enthusiastic and driven Quantity Surveyors and Senior Quantity Surveyors to join a growing Infrastructure team in London.
This is an opportunity to support the delivery of major UK infrastructure programmes, working across a diverse portfolio of projects. You will play a key role in ensuring robust commercial management, accurate reporting and effective contract administration throughout the project lifecycle.
The Role
As a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within the Infrastructure business, you will work across client commissions and internal initiatives, contributing to the successful delivery of complex projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Establishing professional and collaborative relationships with clients, colleagues and project stakeholders
* Administering contracts in accordance with project objectives and governance requirements (NEC3/NEC4 experience preferred, particularly Option C)
* Providing accurate cost monitoring, forecasting and reporting through to project completion
* Proactively managing cost variance and contract cash flow, ensuring applications are prepared and submitted in a timely manner
* Managing change control processes and ensuring best practice is adopted
* Supporting the negotiation and agreement of final accounts
* Contributing to the achievement of project KPIs, including programme performance, cost control and value engineering
At Senior level, responsibilities will also include:
* Leading commissions and supporting the development of junior team members
* Providing sound commercial advice to stakeholders
* Driving improvements in forecasting accuracy and cost reporting
* Supporting governance and assurance processes across projects
Qualifications and Experience
The following experience and competencies are highly desirable:
* Infrastructure sector experience (e.g. transport, rail, utilities, energy or major civil engineering)
* Strong contract management capability, ideally under NEC forms of contract
* Cost management, valuation, estimating and procurement experience
* Change management and control
* Risk management and reporting
* Good understanding of construction industry technical matters, including procurement routes and value management
You will ideally be degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline and either hold or be working towards membership of a recognised professional body.
