Location: Yorkshire Data Centre, Vehicle Operating Centre, Unit A1:A4 Skelton Grange Road, Leeds, LS10 1RD
Hours: 40 hours per week, working 5 days across Monday :Friday. We have the following roles available:
Duty1: Monday to Friday, 14:00hrs : 22:30hrs
Duty2: Monday to Friday, 22:00hrs : 06:30hrs

As Yard and Key Control Administrator you are responsible for the safe running of the Yorkshire Data Centre, Vehicle Operating Centre via manual and computerised methods. Our logistics team are responsible for keeping everything moving. Without logistics we simply wouldn't be able to function. The physical transportation of mail is what we do.
You'll be responsible for the day:to:day supervision of the Late/Night shift operation at Yorkshire Data Centre, Vehicle Operating Centre, reporting any issues to the Transport Manager.
Yard and Key Control Administrator responsibilities:
- You'll work closely with Transport Manager/Drivers/CPC and BCA Team with regards to daily operation. Including verbal communication to Drivers on daily issues i.e. Road Traffic conditions, Weather, RTC's, H and S etc.
- You will be confident in working independently and exercise sound judgement to make informed decisions in the absence of the transport manager.
- Allocation and Retrieval of 318 Folders, Keys, Number Plates and Logbooks. Update and 318 Folders as required by Network Planners.
- You'll co:ordinate planned maintenance of vehicles and liaise with workshop services.
- Allocation and Maintenance of Vehicles on BAT, M5 and ISOTRACK systems.
- Act as point of contact with Internal Customers and External customers by phone.
- Compile, Communicate and Update system VOR reports, Maintaining Map books, Duty Packs, filling PMT's and all associated compliance paperwork.
- Undertake collection scheduling and signing vehicles back in after use. Receive and Monitor Fuel Delivery.
- Maintain Agency Drivers records are updated and checked including all associated agency driver paperwork.
- Ensure transport office Operates in a clean safe environment and complete yard checks as and when requested.
- Night shift ONLY: Lock on Sat Morning and take Keys to PFWW.
A bit about you
- Excellent IT and data entry skills to support daily administration (full training will be given on Royal Mail software)
- Good numeracy and literacy skills.
- When required you will need to be comfortable and confident working alone, this will include decision making on certain tasks, for this you will receive full training. This attracts a Leadership Allowance of GBP 193.98 per month pro rata to when you perform the role.
- Customer service (Telephone and Face to Face): Managing internal and external telephone and face to face enquiries in a professional, efficient, and customer focused manner.
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality, work under pressure, and deliver accurate information to support efficient office operations.
- Have a full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
- A good understanding of Drivers hours would be desirable.
