As we continue to expand our estate, including new openings and venues with rooms, we are looking for a Head of Facilities & Building Compliance to lead the future of facilities management across the business.
This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for the safety, compliance, maintenance and long‑term operational performance of the Buzzworks estate. You will lead the evolution of our facilities function, introducing smarter systems, stronger compliance frameworks and a proactive approach to estate management that supports both our current venues and future growth.

The Works
As Head of Facilities & Building Compliance, you will lead the strategic and operational management of facilities across the entire Buzzworks estate.
Working closely with the Property Director and wider leadership team, you will ensure every venue operates safely, efficiently and in full compliance with all statutory requirements, while helping shape the infrastructure needed to support our continued growth.
You will oversee planned maintenance, compliance, contractor management and facilities systems, while leading a skilled maintenance team and driving the digital transformation of facilities management across the business.
In this role, you will:
* Lead facilities and building compliance across all Buzzworks venues
* Develop and deliver a long‑term maintenance and asset management strategy
* Oversee planned preventative maintenance programmes across the estate
* Ensure compliance across key areas including fire safety, gas, electrical, legionella, asbestos and health & safety
* Implement and manage modern facilities systems and digital compliance platforms
* Introduce reporting dashboards and audit frameworks that provide real‑time visibility across the estate
* Support new venue openings and acquisitions, ensuring operational readiness and compliance from day one
* Help shape facilities structures to support venues with rooms and accommodation‑led operations
* Lead and develop the maintenance and facilities team, creating a proactive and solution‑focused culture
* Manage contractor relationships, service standards and maintenance budgets across the business
* Drive continuous improvement through smarter planning, reporting and operational efficiencies
You Are
* An experienced facilities or estates leader within a multi‑site hospitality, leisure or retail environment
* Highly knowledgeable in UK building compliance and safety regulations
* Commercially aware, with strong budgeting and contractor management experience
* A confident leader who can coach, develop and inspire teams
* Strategic in your thinking but hands‑on in your approach
* Organised, detail‑focused and highly proactive
* Comfortable working across both operational and leadership environments
* Passionate about creating safe, efficient and high‑performing venues
What Success Looks Like
Within your first 12–18 months, you will play a key role in modernising and strengthening facilities management across Buzzworks by:
* Implementing a fully digitised facilities management system across the estate
* Establishing a centralised compliance and reporting dashboard
* Delivering a clear and consistent planned preventative maintenance programme
* Improving maintenance response times, reporting and operational visibility
* Building a scalable facilities framework to support future growth and accommodation‑led venues
