This particular vacancy is to be based at one of their sites in Bradford, their largest site with over 2000 pupils across 2 schools and the vacancy is due to a recent internal promotion, therefore comes with the support of the previous post holder.
Your new role
Reporting to the newly appointed Regional IT Manager, you will work as the IT Manager at this large site of over 2000 users, becoming an integral part of the central IT team based across these 2 schools. Due to 2 schools being on the same site (1 mainstream and 1 SEND), you will be responsible for IT across both sites, working closely with both Senior Leadership teams. As Level 3 Academy Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for providing a high level of IT service to students and staff at both schools, where you will be responsible for supporting with hardware, software and bespoke educational technologies. The role will involve technical IT support, server, network and cloud platform support, maintenance of IT systems and the management of IT resources to ensure the successful use of IT in the classroom. You will join an established central IT team of over 30 colleagues where you will be fully supported upon joining the trust and have an opportunity for further development.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in securing this position, you must possess IT experience working in the education sector, where you have liaised with Senior Leadership on a daily basis regarding an IT service. You will have strong technical ability, as well as strong communication and relationship-building skills, being adapted to working in a user-facing environment. Knowledge of Google Classroom will be ideal, as well as a strong knowledge of bespoke educational technologies and a passion for working in this rewarding sector.
