Finance Administrator (Maternity Cover) NewryWe are delighted to be partnering with a well-established and highly respected electrical and building contractor to recruit a Finance Administrator for their finance team based in Newry. Operating across the industrial, commercial, and domestic construction sectors throughout Ireland and the UK, this organisation has built a strong reputation over several decades for delivering high-quality projects and exceptional client service.This is an initial 9-month maternity cover contract with the potential for extension and the possibility of becoming a permanent opportunity. The successful candidate will join a busy finance team and play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business.Key ResponsibilitiesMatch and process supplier purchase orders, delivery documentation, and invoices on SageEnsure service and one-off invoices are approved in line with company proceduresMaintain allocated purchase ledger accounts and supplier recordsProcess supplier payments, including credit card and BACS transactionsComplete credit/debit card reconciliations and bank reconciliationsResolve supplier queries, payment issues, and account discrepanciesProcess subcontractor payments under UK CIS and ROI RCT schemesPrepare and submit VAT, CIS, and RCT returnsAssist with payroll processing for both UK and ROI employeesWho We're Looking ForMinimum of 2 years' experience within a busy Accounts Payable or Finance Assistant roleExperience carrying out supplier reconciliations and resolving account queriesExcellent communication skills with strong attention to detailExperience using Sage Purchase Ledger would be advantageousComfortable managing high volumes of financial transactions in a fast-paced environmentStrong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workloads effectivelyWhat's On Offer9-month maternity cover contract with potential for extension and permanent opportunitiesEarly finish every Friday (2:30pm)30 days annual leaveGym membershipCompany pension schemeOngoing training and development opportunitiesCompetitive salaryIf you are interested in learning more about this opportunity, please get in touch with Diarmuid for a confidential discussion.WHJS1_NI
