Base pay range
The Trainee Drainage Engineer position (Metro Rod Oxford, Oxfordshire area). Salary £24,000 – £27,000 basic + on‑call, overtime and benefits. OTE of £40‑50K after training.
What does it entail?
* Carrying out a range of services associated with the cleaning, clearance, repair, and maintenance of our customers’ drains
* Operation of high‑pressure water jetting equipment in line with rigorous safety standards
* Carrying out surveys
* Providing an exceptional standard of customer service and technical expertise
* Accurately recording work/job details via a range of bespoke internal/client systems and apps
* Communicating effectively with high‑profile commercial and domestic clients and Metro Rod Support Centre colleagues to ensure excellent customer service is always provided
* Being part of an on‑call rota to help service our clients 24/7/365 days a year (one week in four, variable as per business needs)
What are we looking for?
* Previous experience within a hands‑on technical/construction role
* A keen interest in learning the drainage trade
* A motivation for wanting to progress and develop yourself
* Have a positive, flexible, can‑do attitude
* Want to be part of a growing and progressive business
* Be willing to work some unsociable hours
* Physically fit and able to do a manual role
* Full UK driving licence & own transport
