The Role
We wish to appoint an Electrical Estimator within our highly successful Pre-Contract estimating team at Briggs & Forrester Northern Region office located in Warrington. Briggs & Forrester is a sector specialist providing design and installation of mechanical, electrical, and public health services, predominantly delivering schemes in the Residential, Commercial, Education, Leisure and Industrial and Energy Sectors.
As a specialist we provide quick turnaround of tender & preconstruction information and therefore this is a permanent office-based position, however occasional flexible / home working is offered where the workload permits.
The candidate will be responsible for the following:
• Production of detailed tender bids and cost plans
• Attending mid and post tender meetings
• Post tender control
• Interfacing with both our existing and prospective new clients
• Communication and interfacing with sub-contractor and supplier companies, using existing companies and generating new leads
The position will involve the day-to-day management of the tender process to ensure standards are maintained and deadlines are met. Whilst electrically biased, the position also demands a wide knowledge of mechanical engineering services.
Candidates will need to demonstrate a broad knowledge of the industry and will have experience in a wide range of sectors as detailed above, and be familiar with project requirements for BREEAM, Nabers, Part L and Smart Building Technologies. This is a permanent, office-based position.
