Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Waterlooville
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term
Pay: £95 – £110 per day (depending on experience)
About the Role
A specialist SEN school in Waterlooville is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to support children with a range of special educational needs in a supportive and inclusive educational setting.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEN
2. Assist in the delivery of personalised learning plans
3. Support pupils with emotional regulation, communication, and social development
4. Help manage behaviour in line with school policies
5. Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff
6. Contribute to a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment
Requirements
7. Experience working with children with SEN ( ASD, ADHD, SEMH)
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
9. Patience, empathy, and resilience
10. Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
11. Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
